I just saw an article on this in the Seattle Times today. Did anyone go?

I was going to go ( I am on the private "seattle underground foodies" list from the organizer.

We didn't go after all when I got the email announcing the location, and it was out in Redmond!

Also, the vendor list looked a bit lean - only about 15, and no winery pouring or band playing from what I could gather. Those were fixtures' at her Atlanta markets...

I think it just takes time to build, and apparently SEA Times kind of blew it for everyone by calling the health dept. and asking if this was a legal way to have a food event, etc. so the organizer and all involved were fearful they would be shut down, fined, etc. by said Health Dept.

Boo on the SEA Times for not having a better sense of fun and adventure for all of us foodies out here:(

In all fairness to the Times, the organizer had spent effort courting food bloggers and press, so it seemed like she had wanted the press. I'm not sure what she expected to happen....

These kinds of events make me so ticked off. So many talented people are working so hard and paying all their taxes, passing inspections etc, etc etc...

These events are flaunt the law and then whine when they get caught that "they weren't doing anything wrong".
