I know of lots of great local spots in Queens and the Bronx, buy I'm downtown now, and looking for a great place that's closer.

i work in the financial district, souther tip of the island and theres a good jamaican food truck during the week on water st and broad street. A little further up on houston is Miss Lily's which i have read about online but cannot personally vouch for their food.

I don't know, but post this question to the Manhattan board. I know a good place near 109 St. and Columbus, but that won't help you if you're downtown, I imagine.

What is the place at 109th & Columbus? And do you know any place with beef patties and coco bread in Manhattan? Thanks!

I believe Pan is referring to Freda's on Columbus between 108th and 109th.
