Quickie: Who's got your favorite ma po tofu in the area, and why do you like it?
I like Szechuan Chef's version in Bellevue - fresh-tasting and lots of ma-la flavor.
Spiced, also in Bellevue, goes heaviest on the Szechuan peppercorn, but I didn't find the flavors as balanced.
Sichuanese Cuisine on Jackson in Seattle will do in a pinch but is not as good as the east-side places.
