1st time in Nashville - please help with dinner options.

I am going to be in Nashville on business. I will be staying one night at the Courtyard Nashville Vanderbilt/West End 1901 West End Avenue. And then after that I will be at the Renaissance at 611 Commerce Street. I've got 4 dinners to plan. I am on an expense report and can't go crazy with the spending. My limit is $60 per day -- but I tend to spend that mostly on dinners. I will be traveling with a co-worker and her husband. She doesn't like beans and he likes meat. Also, we won't have a car so we will have to take taxis/use public transportation/walk.

I've done some research and put together a list of some dining choices. What do you think?

Urban Grub
Capital Grill
City House
Fish & Co.
Kayne Prime
Bound ry
Eastland café
Yellow Porch
Loveless Café
Sunset Grill

The last three choices are the ones I'm the least interested in.

Thanks for your help!

  1. My top 4 in that list - not only for food but for service and/or ambiance - are City House, ChaChah, Capitol Grill (note the spelling), Eastland Cafe. Haven't been to etch yet but it is ALL THE BUZZ right now -- rave reviews left and right. Another new place to add to the possibilities is Lockeland Cafe (new restaurant opened by the former chef at Eastland Cafe.)

My second tier would be Kayne (haven't been, but solid reviews), Bound'ry, Yellow Porch, flyte.

Thanks for the information TLF! Do you have any idea how far are the places from where I am going to be?

All in the same basic central urban core area. None more than 15 minutes from the hotel (assuming it's not rush hour or something).

    2. From your list I really like Flyte and Kayne.

      1. I would add to that Miel and Cafe Nonna.....
