LA Neighborhood of the Month (Oct 2012) - Nominations

Announcing the second Los Angeles Neighborhood of the Month nomination discussion.
The idea of Neighborhood of the Month is this:
Collectively, LA hounds will try as many places as possible in the neighborhood during the month of October. Report back here with reviews, pictures, and lists of the best things to try when visiting this neighborhood.
In September, the Neighborhood of the Month was East LA/Boyle Heights. Find the reports here: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/866108
Now's the time to nominate neighborhoods for October. You can nominate as many neighborhoods as you want, and please do so in ALL CAPS so it will be easy to count later. The nominations will go until September 28th. Then voting will start, and we'll begin eating on October 1st!
Last month, other nominations that made it to the voting round were:
WESTWOOD BLVD BETWEEN PICO AND UCLA (approx 2 miles)
KOREATOWN (approximately 1.5 x 1 mile, using the borders of Western Ave, Pico Blvd, Vermont Ave, 3rd St)
SAWTELLE CORRIDOR between Santa Monica Blvd and Pico Blvd (approx 1 mile)
So I'll begin by nominating all of these. Please join in by seconding these nominations, or adding more ideas! I personally like the idea of choosing less-explored neighborhoods where Chowhound has less coverage, and since none of these necessarily meet that criteria, I hope others join in with more ideas!
