ISO Restaurant for Weekday Lunch between Ferry Plaza and Around Pier 24'ish

Any suggestions? I'm BARTing to meet a friend in this area, and we're not in the mood to deal with the FP. Would prefer not to eat burgers and fries (so no Red's JH or Hi-Dive this time), but anything else is fine. Prefer to keep it to around $12-15pp if possible. Our location is flexible, up to a point, so we can go a few blocks North, South, West (though obviously not East!). TIA

Thanks for the suggestions. As it turned out, we were a bit rushed and ended up at the FP after all. It was a little later in the afternoon, so many of the folks who who had been disgorged from a cruise ship had fortunately dispersed. I passed by earlier in the day and it looked insane.

By the way, I had an *excellent* meatball sandwich at Il Cane Rosso. I think it was $9. Highly recommended. I'll keep the other restaurants in mind for next time.

I was going to recommend Barbacco as well. Or Wexler's.

Per Diem on Sutter is a nice lunch spot as well. I like their pasta and often crave their ragu.

I had lunch with my parents at Per Diem. The pasta was, indeed, good. They were disappointed in the sandwiches, though.
