Best New England Clam Chowder on Martha's Vineyard

I'm looking for a restaurant ( not take out) with the best New England Clam Chowder.
Also the best lobster roll. We love going to Maine for these, but I suppose Martha's Vineyard
has some good places for these. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

It might be cliche', but to me you should head to Menimsha and hit up Laursen's Fish Market. Grad some chowder and a lobster roll....both are good...and then walk a couple hundred yards down the road to the beach. BYOB so bring some beers or wine. It was one of the cooler things I've done this summer.

I can't say for the VIneyard but the best clam chowder hands down is the Black Pearl in Newport RI. It sounds like you travel a bit so check it out. Best Lobster Roll is the Brick Market Cafe in Newport as well.

Thanks for the Newport tips. I still need a place in MV. In Newport, great fish and pasta is at Scales and Shells.
