It had been a few years since we had dined at Caius, so we decided to try their lunch menu at €42 which includes 4 or 5 choices in each category. The decor is pleasant with mirrored wood paneling, carpeting and cushioned seaitng which tends to tone down the noise level which has become such an annoyance to me as I age. The highlights of our meal were an entrée of gambas served over shaved fenouil dressed with soy, firmly fresh langoustines served over a dice of mangos and pears and their "classique" canard laqué with spaghettied courgettes. A Robuchonesque purée was also served with the langoustines.

    1. Went tonight with a few hounds, one known well to the chef/owner. We were treated very well and had a great time, will remember the shrimp with a very crispy exterior. With many courses, wine, water 80/pp
