Birthday dinner ideas... Annapolis, Baltimore, DC???

I need some ideas. My wife's birthday is this week and we tend to go to the same places for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. which are all great restaurants but need to branch out more. She is not as an adventurous eater as I but is willing to try some new things. Also, we have either Thursday night free or Saturday night free so that is another decision in this situation.
I need a restaurant for a brithday dinner and whether we should go Thursday or Saturday.
