where to eat in NYC for halloween and other question

Hey all, im heading to NY for halloween and i will be there for around 5 nights, so i have a couple of nights to choose from.
1 question is where should we go for dinner on halloween night ? any idea of a place that has something different for that night
2 Q has anybody been to atera and what where your thoughts
3 we love fine dinning and been to many of NY top restaurant and even though we are repeating our fav (EMP, bernardin, maybe daniel, after the clossing of joel roubouchon we need to make a change) i was wondering if there has been new additions to the dinning scene that we have missed (also never been to corton and thinking about going.......)

i would love to see a fine dinnning place, like EMP, per se and those like that, take a funnier, nice approche to halloween, with high en dishes, with halloween looks....... anybody has an idea where to find something like that ?

I'm facing a similar dilemma - I don't want to do a place with a tasting menu on Halloween because I want to have time visit all my favorite bars and see all the costumes, but on the other hand, I don't have that many dinner "slots" available.

The newer place you'll get a lot of recommendations for will be Jungsik. I haven't been there, so no comment from me.

I think you'll probably have a better experience on Halloween if you go to a restaurant that features food, rather than spectacle, and then go bar-hopping in the Village or East Village. Also consider watching the Halloween Parade.
