Sourcing Truffle Oil and Wild Mushrooms in NW LA Area

I'm a bit disappointed with what I can find at Whole Foods. Anyone have ideas for nice specialty shops with good selections of fresh wild mushrooms and / or places with nice selections of truffle oils in Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Agoura Hills, Westlake, Thousand Oaks, Oak Park, etc area.

Re: Italian truffle oil - Montl Carlo Deli in Burbank in the past carried truffle oil and dried
porcini mushrooms. Thats the first place I would try.

Beverly Hills Cheese shop has a few selections of truffle oils including some allegedly with actual truffles - but I'm not sure if there is such a thing as real truffle oil.

Marcello Guidi in Santa Monica has quite a few choices - and a variety of truffle-flavored alternatives including truffle butters and truffle "caviar" - spherical bits of black truffle juice - find it in the refrigerated section.

You are probably going to be much more likely to find what you are looking for at one of the local Farmers Markets, such as the one in Calabasas. Here is a finder for the FM's: http://www.ccfm.com/ccfm/index.php

One other thought is http://vicentefoods.com/ for truffle oil...and maybe fresh shrooms too.

Tried Vicentefoods. Thanks! They had a decent preserved truffle / truffle oil section and some nice looking, fairly priced shitaki, oyster and king trumpet mushrooms. I bought a truffle oil I've never heard of (the bottle looked nice) and some shitaki and oyster mushrooms for a soup.

What I really need to find is an Italian specialty foods store, I think...

I just realized my favorite brand may be available at Sur la Table in TO. Doh!

You should really get over to Guidi Marcello http://www.guidimarcello.com/ as suggested below by foodiemahoodie and check out their offerings. It's a pretty darn amazing place for flown in from Italy foodstuffs. Just be aware that you can only turn onto their street (which is a dead end street) if you are traveling westbound on Olympic Blvd. at the time.
