Who's been there? Any good? I just got a gift certificate in the mail.

I can find a few mentions but no comment on the food, really.

Thanks

It's good, you may want to search other boards such as BOS for comments on the Grille. They use USDA Choice dry aged beef, pretty good selection of entree's, great sides that can be shared. Their wine list is credible and I find the service to be good.

Crabcakes there are outstanding, and have chunks of lobster in them. Try the NY strip, with au gratin potatoes.

I didn't eat a steak the one time I was there, but the fried calamari was excellent (and very spicy), and the coconut cream pie was one of the Top Five Desserts I've ever had.

It's your typical corporate expense account restaurant.

I wouldn't eat there unless I can deduct it, or someone else is paying for it.

          But otherwise, it's pretty good.

Ok, so what the heck, then? $50 worth of free food? How bad can it be? Kind of a dumb question on my part, I guess.

            Thanks all.

They do an excellent dry aged porterhouse. Of the major chain steakhouses I've tried (Ruth's Chris, The Palm, Morton's), Capitol Grill's had the most flavor.

When I go to CG, I'm pre-disposed that it's not a cheap night out, if I wanted Sizzler I'd choose that instead but, I know CG will be tasty.

Thus their name is "Capital Grill" vs. "Capitol Grill".

Among the "chain" steak houses (Ruth, Flemings, etc.) they are tops in my experience. Was there again for a business dinner last week; oustanding meal. Apps, sides and mains were all spot on. Service was excellent as well.

I would even spend my company's money at Ruth Chris.
