Place to purchase Aritsugu Tokyo wa-gyuto's A-style

Hi, in a of previous post you spoke of D3 in a knife blade verses VG10. Can you please tell me who uses D3 steel in blades for kitchen knives and where I could buy these. I am in the process of trying to buy a good set of kitchen knives that will hold a well above average edge and not chip easily. I have looked on the internet but cannot seem to find an outlet, the place mentioned in the previous article was in the Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo. Many Thanks, Wayne

  1. You can get them directly at the Aritsugu store(s) or online site, but you need to speak Japanese and or have someone in Japan facilitate orders outside of Japan. Or indirectly from http://www.aframestokyo.com/ or http://www.sushi-knifes.com/Merchant2....

    BTW, word of mouse is the Aritsugu A-type is made from some sort Alien grade tool-steel, comes unsharpened, and has given very seasoned sharpeners heartburn.
