If you had to eat in the world finiancial center where would you go? It's for a large party on a Sunday afternoon. I'm more worried about the food being good than the price point at the moment, so any suggestions would be appreciated. A block or two away would be OK too.

Merchants Chart House. Great food and great views.

I'd recommend Blue Smoke over North End Grill. I had inedible food at North End Grill.
PJ Clarke I agree with LeahBaila good burgers and view. Gigino a few blocks south has good view and decent Italain food. Harry's Italian ( next door to Shake Shack ( near Goldman) has good red sauce dishes , and good pizza, A 2 block walk , the Palm is good for good steak or lobster, and plenty of room for big party. Inotesa next door to Ritz Carlton has good pasta, pizza, and some other dishes.

Blue Smoke has great ribs, and is right across the street from the world financial center.

Near Goldman Sachs is a plus. And an environment where people can hang out and talk - it's kind of a reunion.

I'd go to "Goldman Alley" for North End Grill, Shake Shack, or Blue Smoke.

Great spots. However, if the weather's nice and you want a great view - and a good burger - head to PJ Clarke's on the Hudson.

So PJ Clarke's is actually good? For some reason I always assumed it was a tourist clip joint.

I think the burgers there are great. The drinks are strong. I mean, is it haute cuisine? Absolutely not. It's simple, American food with lots of space and sick outdoor views. For something more upscale, I'd head to North End Grill.

You have to be careful.

The raw bar is good. The burgers are good.

Everything else is a crapshoot.

If you're not in the mood for a burger, the P.J. Clarke's at WFC also makes a very good Reuben.
