Dinner Before Melody Gardot at the Orpheum Theater

msnbadger Sep 20, 2012 03:59 PM

My wife and are headed to LA from Madison, WI this weekend to catch Melody Gardot at the Orpheum Theater in downtown LA on Saturday night. Just looking for a recommendation for dinner before the show within walking distance to the Orpheum. I was hoping to park....eat...show and then back to the car.

Anything relatively close to the Orpheum that stands out? We're open to about anything with great food and unpretentious.

There's a hidden jewel right nearby - Alma.

Wonderful inventive farm centric cuisine. Not sure if they have their liquor license yet though.

Looks great as well....the liquor issue isn't a showstopper.

Here are a few nearby choices:

      Artisan House (Californian)
      Colori Kitchen (Italian)
      The Parish (New American)
      Umamicatessen (eclectic)
      Wood Spoon (Brazilian)

Excellent - thanks for all the ideas....Parish, Imamicatessen and Wood Spoon all look like they have great potential.

This would be about a 12 to 15 minute walk http://industrielfarm.com/ and, while I haven't been, here is a CH review http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/859567
