Sunday evening, post-marathon, good food, crowd and cocktails?
I'm traveling with two girlfriends, all early 30s, looking for a really good, but semi-casual meal on Sunday night after the Nike Women's marathon. Price isn't a major issue, but we're not looking to dress up and have a three-hour, seven course meal. We're staying at the JW Marriott in Union Square so something relatively close or a short cab ride away would be ideal.
Somewhere with an interesting cocktail list and a fun crowd would be perfect - and they would prefer something California/New American, seafood or comfort food. They're not particularly adventurous eaters, so while I'm mostly looking for a place with great food, they're probably looking for a place with a good atmosphere. I'd love to find a place with both!
