85C possibly coming to Temple City and West Covina
i don't think this has been mentioned, nothing showed up when i did a search, but i was shopping in temple city on rosemead blvd. the shop lady there told me that 85C is planning on opening a branch in the same plaza. it'll be by guppy house (las tunas dr side), which isn't yet open, but from the looks of the construction, not too long from now. unfortunately starbucks is putting up opposition so things aren't confirmed. also wal-mart is planned at the lot across the street. (there's k-mart across the other street btw) the city is trying to make this area a "walking area."
the lady also mentioned that 85C is planning on opening in West Covina too. there's only one area i could think of ...HK2?
anyways, not sure if this is allowed on the board, but i thought i'd pass it on.

Wait Walmart? I don't think it's right for Temple City and I really doubt it will be opening on that lot it's been confirmed to be a typical Asian-style plaza.
As for 85C next to the new Guppy's in TC I can see horrible parking situation now. Most of the stores there do middling business yet parking still sucks so I imagine it will suck more. Although this will be good for the local economy.

i really hope it's not true. i don't really think the area needs a wal-mart considering the location and where other nearby wal-marts are located. i've briefly seen the plaza pic on the corner sign whilest driving. it doesn't look like there'd be a wal-mart but that's what i was told by a shop across the street. i don't live in the area either
sigh. 85C is a natural traffic jam. i don't consider that parking lot that bad, but it's not huge either. things change when a popular business opens though.
i'm personally curious how 85C will be with its expansion. i recently had some buns from the irvine branch and they weren't as good as in the past.
