Nice rustic bistros in Paris?

Leaving to Paris tomorrow. Going to be there over the weekend. I know that there are a lot of threads on the community but there are so many that it kind of gets hard to select one. So if you have a nice recommendations of places to go (price ranges around 100E for 2 a couple) dont hesitate to help me out! Myself I am really in to rustic and old school french food.

I would really appreciate some advices!

Please report back on Repaire. It's on my list for mid-October for my game-loving husband and I'd love to hear a recent review (John, taking your word that's it's a must visit during game season :)

Was there in the spring with another 'hound and unlike Cafe Cartouche, which was fun and had good food, found Repaire to be funereal in atmosphere with food that was ok, and certainly not exciting.

yikes! Thanks for the report DCM. Since I trust your chowhound sense I might have to reconsider. Only 4 full days in Paris this trip...want to make the most of it!

I'm afraid my visit was more like DCM's. My wife refuses to go back after having a skinny, tough to the point of being inedible, chicken leg coupled with chilly service.

I agree that the Cafe is more fun but the Mothership is where we return.

ok I thought it was nice. We were quite late (arrived after eleven) because our flight were delayed so we decided to just have an entree. I had a saucisson with lentils and my girlfriend had a nice pork dish. It was nice, simple food but it was also the food that I like, rustique!
I would recommend it but in one way I can see that you can get a bit dissapointed with it if your expectations is too high. Still a cozy place! Thanks John!
