Pork Chop flavoring Worries

I am making this recipe http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/gi... and i am worried about the salt content of the cheese and the flavored breadcrumbs. Would it be fine for me to have just the breadcrumbs/cheese be the only seasoning in the dish?

My computer is very slow so I have not attempted to open the link as that site has all kinds of superfluous stuff to load. But I'll say that good cooks eschew prepares seasoned dry breadcrumbs. If that recipe calls for Progresso or 4C breadcrumbs or something similar, they will be salty, and sandy in texture. Substitute panko for better texture and flavor, and less salt.
Or search on America's Test Kitchen and Cook's Country for their pork chop recipes, which are sure to be better.

gg -- it indeed does include boxed bread crumbs. :(

op: just mix up some panko and parm, with some salt, pepper and dried thyme. maybe a few chili flakes. the coating should taste slightly of salt, especially sine the meat is so bland.
