Craft. The picky one can have roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, steak, etc. and the adventurous ones can have quail, sweetbreads, pork trotter, foie gras.

      Crispos in a heartbeat.
I am that fussy finicky eater you speak of.

Craft is definitely beyond the given price range.

What's your budget? The reason I ask is that, for example, Scarpetta serves a spaghetti with tomato and basil and a roast chicken (though the roast chicken comes with liver). The menu is here: http://www.scottconant.com/restaurant...

So Scarpetta and Craft are both beyond your price range. I think you should look at some mid-priced Italian menus like those of Malatesta, Lupa and Crispo and see if anything there is adventurous enough for you. I've found Lupa's food too salty the last 3 times I've been there, but in the past, I found their pollo alla diavolo excellent, and it's basically roast chicken with some hot pepper in it. They also serve a hanger steak which is quite decent (though probably saltier than I'd like).
