Can I bake using a jello mold?

Is there anything to prevent me from baking a cake in a jello mold? Would the cook time have to be altered for a mold comparable to a baking pan size? Aside from greasing the inside of the pan well, can you share any other tips? Thanks!

Assuming your jello mold is made out of metal (and not plastic), then you can bake in the oven. The cook time will be different depending the color of the bakeware. Usually speaking (not always) a darker color surface bakeware takes shorter time or lower temperature to bake than a lighter color surface bakeware.

Thanks for your help! I'm looking forward to making uniquely shaped cakes in those molds!
