Good breakfast in the Arboretum area?

I'm looking for a breakfast place where you can have a conversation over good food / coffee, and would love to find someplace local. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Back toward the east some ways, near Burnet and 183 is Jims's that has been there forever. They have good traditional breakfasts and coffee and would be a good place to visit.

Agreed. I'd go for one Jim's delicious pancake and one breakfast taco. I hold the potato from the breakfast taco since the pancake has enough carbs and calories, and sometimes just eat the proteins out of the taco.

The Corner Bakery Cafe opened up a couple months ago. I hoped that would become a good breakfast option in the Arboretum. After 2 lunches and 1 breakfast, my opinion = the food is not terrible, but I would never describe it as delicious. On the good, it looks very clean, it's bright and cheery inside, the booths are comfy and the wifi is fast and dependable. From reading their menu I had such high hopes that it would be a reliable go-to.

Blue Baker is a good option, and while it's not Austin-local, it is Texas-local, being recently imported from Aggieland.
