I'm looking for places in the GTA where I can purchase erva mate to make chimarrao.

Pop into any Latin American market (ie Perola in Kensington). They'll have lots. Cruz de Malta's a good brand, and like $3.25 for a half kilo bag. David's would prolly charge over ten times that much, I'm not kidding.
