Deep Ellum in Allston serves brunch Mon-Thurs 11-4

Trina's Starlite lounge has awesome Monday brunch. Starts at Noon though.

Corn fritters, pop-tart and ay caramba benny are awesome. Of course, you gotta have their bloody mary too.

I just ran into the exact same problem myself today. Decided on Trident on Newbury. You could also try Friendly Toast in Cambridge.
