NYC to Ithaca Drive

I'm driving from NYC to (and back from ) Ithaca, NY this weekend...any suggestions for good spots for a stop along the way? Not looking for fancy and don't care about service, as long as it's quick...more chow orientated.

Off of rt 17 in the town of Hancock N.Y. would be the Circle E Diner where for over 30 or so yrs I enjoyed the Sportsman's Breakfast ; 2 sausage ,2 strips of bacon , 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and choice of toast .OH yeah home fries, I haven't been there for a while since moving away .Also in Hancock a new hotel with dining and also in the town a pizzeria "Little Italy "that was good . La Salette (sp) for Italian is also popular with locals and week enders .

There's a Cracker Barrel in Binghamton if you take 81 (which I believe is quicker). It's right off the exit basically. I love stopping there. In an out in 30-40 minutes usually (unless it's a weekend morning)

Glider Diner in Scranton is pretty darn good. Hot open roast beef with crispy fries or mashed potatoes and and gravy is spectacular. Also Coney Island lunch, great chili-cheese dogs.
