Atlanta to Hilton Head

I'm driving from Atlanta to Hilton Head and am looking for something good to eat along the way. I've heard that the I-16 corridor is pretty sparse so I was thinking someplace on the outskirts of Savannah (I guess driving into Savannah wouldn't be bad either). This will be Friday night for dinner and I'd prefer not spending more than an hour on dinner. Any good recommendations out there?

You heard correctly about I-16 being sparse.

Jomax BBQ in Metter is a place to consider. If you go past Metter you may as well go on into Savannah but that will blow your travel time.
