Sushi near Kenmore?

Kat Sep 12, 2012 06:46 AM

Are there any sushi places near Kenmore? When I'm in the area we usually go to ICOB or Eastern Standard, but I'm having sushi cravings. Looking for a sit down restaurant, not take out. Thanks!

If you're looking to spend a little dough, Uni at the Eliot Hotel can't be beat.

I've had some good experiences at Basho on Boylston as well.

The one place I've never really enjoyed is Fin's. I don't know why, the fish just doesn't seem to taste all that fresh to me.

Basho is good enough, definitely go for some non sushi items such as the pork buns (some of the best anywhere). They also have a good seafood salad. The sushi is decent-pretty good but sometimes not the freshest or not constructed very well. I would definitely say Eastern Standard has better food and a better experience.

Yes, I love Uni, but I was hoping to try somewhere new. The sushi there is creative and always delicious, but the room is small and dark. Basho looks interesting and it is pretty close to Kenmore. Thanks!
