Bug: Posting using Safari results in a perpetual spinner

fmed Sep 11, 2012 10:11 PM

As of a couple of days ago, after I click submit when replying to a thread, the spinner and the Reply box do not go away. I have to refresh the page to see my reply. (Repro: 100%)

Hi fmed. What version of Safari are you using, and are you on a Mac or PC? What operating system are you using? I just posted fine in Safari 5.1, Windows XP. I was also able to post in Chrome just fine. Thanks! -Deborah from CHOW

Hm, my reply posted just fine, so I'm stumped. Are you still getting the spinning wheel?

Yep. Still spinning. No worries...I just have to do a browser refresh to see my post (and to get control back).

Thanks for your patience on this fmed! We'll keep trying to reproduce it so that we might be able to debug it at some point.

I've been getting the continuously spinning wheel off-and-on also. It's intermittent - more often the post goes through, sometimes it just spins away. As of right now I made a post on one thread and it is still spinning away [FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER] on that browser tab/page...while I can cross over to another tab and inspect that same thread in that new tab and see my post (plus another post made by someone else) and carry on with other parts of CH. I know if I refresh/reload that first page/tab with the spinning wheel I'll get the "updated" page with my post (just did it - yep, there's my post).

                    FF 15.0.1, Mac OS10.

                    Screenshot attached.

                      Maybe this issue is related?
