DC suggestions for a milestone birthday?

Well, we thought we had this all planned... My husband has been arranging a dinner at the beginning of December for my (number-ending-in-0) birthday, for us and 6 of our best friends. Alas, our reservation was at Citronelle, so we're going to have to look for a new spot. Fortunately, we still have lots of time to plan. Does anyone have any suggestions? Type of cuisine isn't quite as important (this isn't a picky group), but we do want a place that will give us a meal to remember, both with the food and the ambiance. Any suggestions?

I would go to The Source. I had my 30th birthday dinner there and it was spectacular. The service was some of the best I've ever had in DC, we all looooooved the food and the environment was elegant and modern at the same time. A really classy place with special, delicious food.

Good choices would be Marcel's, Palena, and CityZen

Are you willing to go up to Shaw/Convention Center? Seasonal Pantry might be really special - your very own private restaurant and chef for the night. All of the other recommendations are great, but this is one of a kind http://www.seasonalpantry.com/supperc...
