Hovering over avatars not working

If I hover over an avatar - anyone's avatar - I get the following pop-up (or something similar, based on what their avatar picture is) instead of a slight enlargement of their avatar pic.

For example, this is Jacquilynne's avatar:

"header=[] body=[<img alt='' class='photo' src='http://www.chow.com/uploads/8/3/3/728...; /><br /><strong>Jacquilynne</strong>] cssbody=[user_tooltip]">

Shoot - that doesn't work because the http://www part goes into linkable mode and is partially hidden. ETA: Looks like adding text after the above shows the entire avatar pop-up.
