Hong Kong: Tak Yu Restaurant, 378 Shanghai St., Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon?
My wife and I visit Hong Kong often on business. We enjoy dim sum every morning, usually leaving TST for the London Restaurant in Mong Kok (Nathan Rd.), partly because it opens early and they still use carts. I love to inspect the dishes, and the servers are friendly.
Tak Yu Restaurant opens at 5:00 a.m. and is mentioned on the Hong Kong Tourism site as a good choice, so it would suit our schedule. Do you recommend the dim sum? Do they still serve from steam carts?
Where would YOU visit for old-fashioned, non-fancy but good dim sum if you had to eat before 9:00 a.m., from TST to Mong Kok?
