Brewing beer, curing meat, or making cheese?

Finally...a food blog for me!

Wahooty Sep 10, 2012 09:00 PM

I did a search and nothing came up...I'm the sort that really doesn't get into food/cooking blogs. I generally find them pretty dull, and have yet to find one that I would actually follow.

Tonight...Porkulent came into my life.

And it was good.*

*And rather sporadically updated, which suits me just fine.

Wow! I sorted lentils all wrong this evening! I particularly like "How to Make Fish".

The photography really does add to the overall story. :)

The best parody of a food blog I've seen yet. I love the motto: "Because I can cook and you can't." :-)

OK, the banner picture at the top of the blog is a GREAT start!

I actually laughed out loud over

"The macaroni will come off with glue and paper bits. Don’t worry about these for now. Standard school glue will dissolve in water and the paper bits will be easier to separate after cooking."

            "food-grade potpourri"

"after loosening the macaroni from 3-4 drawings..." Great blog!

Nice. Once more begs the question I've alway thought about; why are so many food types so obviously influenced by Hunter S. Thompson? Bourdain's made a hell of a career out of it, and I'd bet serious money that this guy has a well worn copy of Fear and Loathing somewhere very close by.
