Anyone been yet? I went when they first opened, was mostly underwhelmed, but really wanting to like the place. the new menus look a lot better, but how have they been?

I went to lunch there today. First off, $1 oysters(!). That alone will probably pull me back through the door. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was excellent: tangy and not drenched in sauce, on a nicely toasted bun. The new cocktail menu has many intriguing options, although I only had the opportunity to sample one. I had a Rock Steady, which I'd describe as a riff on a Dark N Stormy. It was well prepared and very tasty.

I walked in when they first opened it smelled like stale beer and tinkle and never went back. If they have revamped things and hear better reviews I may give them another try.

I was there once in December, and noticed a major odor problem. Stayed just for the one drink and fled.

Stale beer and tinkle? Are you sure you didn't go through some time-travel wormhole and ended up at the Bow and Arrow or the Picadilly Filly?

Any more recent impressions of this place?

Been back a couple of times since my last post here. No Cleve on any of those visits, but still some very well-made cocktails against a much more interesting list than previously. Still haven't eaten much of anything here.

Have been a few times since i posted this original question. Some people there are great, others notsomuch, and also haven't seen Cleve around. I've only had lunch food there, which was thoroughly unimpressive, but i also don't necessarily hold that as being emblematic of what they'd have for dinner, just the only data point i have to offer.

Would this be a good place to take a group of 7 on a Saturday night for cocktails? Looking for a stop post Strip T's dinner with a group of out of towners from Toronto.

I didn't try a lot of the food, but Brother Cleve's revamp of the cocktail menu is definitely worth a look.

Curious to know how well trained the bar staff is since Brother Cleve isn't there most nights. Execution is more important than the recipes.
