Delmonico's...small plates at the bar?

Hi!
We'll be back in New Orleans next month for the Blues and BBQ Festival and we're travelling with another couple who's goal is to eat at every Emeril restaurant in the US.

I wonder if it is possible to just have drinks and share appetizers at the bar at Delmonico's (like we often do at Mr. B's) instead of doing a whole sit-down meal.

You can definitely get drinks and apps at the bar - I've done it several times. Yes, the bar can fill up, but it's a great place to be. They have these awesome infusions and seasonal sangria that they make in house - makes for fine drinkin!

The bar is really small, in fact I'd call it tiny. If this is your plan, make sure you go in off hours. I've only eaten at a table, so I'm not sure what is served at the bar.
