Memphis dining

bhoward Sep 9, 2012 03:25 PM

I am convinced I am not going to get a decent meal in Tunica so...Memphis it is. I have BBQ and fried chicken set so looking for one more upscale spot. Sweet Grass and Acre are on my radar but suggestions/comments/advice appreciated.

Acre is outstanding. Iris is a great place to visit also. McEwen's is another good choice.

    Felicia Suzanne's is nice too.

I have decided on Iris--it looks really, really good. Can you advise me on dress for Iris? Thanks!

Casual. Slacks and polo for men. I would not wear shorts. Enjoy your visit.

Thanks a bunch for the information. We are first on a waiting list there but are hopeful.

I would wear a dress shirt, but you can get away with wearing a polo.

You gotta go down the road a piece to Millington and give Old Timers Restaurant a try, it's well worth the less than 10 mi drive from Memphis. The fried catfish was the BEST we had EVER had, bar none, and we're from Louisiana. The service friendly and fast, the atmosphere nostalgic and the prices very reasonable. It's Old Timers Resistant,7918 C Street, Millington, TN 901-872-6464
