Tea flavored short rib

My in-laws came to visit in town and are staying in a hotel in mid-town east. We went to a small Asian restaurant called Ginger next door for a quick bite. The place was almost empty. We ordered some rolls, noodles etc. One thing caught my attention on the menu is tea flavored grilled short rib. It tasted very good. I think they actually spread a little tea leaves on top of the beef. The tea flavor is hard to discern but it does come out somehow in the after-taste, hence the whole dish has a nice balance and refreshing feel. I am a big fan of green tea ice-cream. But tea flavored grilled short rib is the first time in for me. I did some googling on internet after dinner last night. Looks there are some tea-flavored recipes. In case you want to give this new type of flavor a try, this Ginger restaurant is on 55th street between 3rd Avenue and Lexington. The other things we ordered are standard and ok.

I had tea smoked duck in Szechuan restaurant before. Do they have other tea-flavored items?
