Sushisamba 7 or sushisamba park what are the differences?

I have been 7 but not park ave location. Any differences ambiance, sound level, or is one more dressy than the other? Thanks

They are both equally tacky, inauthentic, chain-style, pseudo Japanese cum nightclub circa 1997, frequented by women in knockoff Louboutins and men still in Ed Hardy type long sleeve t-shirts. Does that help?

Soooo change the circa year, drop the price a bit, exclude the celebrity chef and it's the same as morimoto? Yes?

        Yes?

No. Morimoto actually has some good cooked dishes and is not Asian-Latino fusion.

thegforceny, well-said...i couldn't have said it better myself :)

There *may* be some reasons to go there, but anyone who appreciates sushi should avoid all of them...

Agreed. SO and I settled Labor Day weekend for a lunch here followed by the real thing later that evening. Yelpers paradise.

Interestingly when the original chef from Jewel Bako left there and went to Geisha, after Geisha he went to Sushi Samba on 7th ave south. I forgot where he is now but someone recently mentioned him on CH ( Kazu) but the sushi is bad at SS i agree. However, the ceviche and the tirodito (sp) isn't bad. i think I wore a Yankee Tshirt and Levi's last time I ate there

spot on. THe lounge next door does play some good music so if you like eating sushi rolls in a club its pretty perfect.
