I don't know for sure, but I think thats too late.Do this, take advantage of whats in season, enjoy softshells! The oyster and softshell seasons have started and ended early the last couple of years.I don't know about everone else, but I'm blammin' Al Gore.

This says May 15...so I figured I'd be cutting it awfully close.

You should be able to find some when it gets colder. See if any local fire departments have oyster roasts as fund raisers.

I'm not sure I have ever had any Carolina oysters. Do any of them find their way to Savannah?

There's no telling. The sooner the water cools, the sooner they'll harvest. October is early, but possible. Call Bowen's and ask when you get there.

Sorry, I'm thinking Charleston, Bull's Bay, McCellanville and Stump Sound NC.
