Pastries and Good Coffee in the 7th

I'm staying in the 7th on Rue Amelie next week and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for morning pastries (croissants, brioche, etc), but more importantly, GOOD coffee nearby. Based on what I've been reading, I think I would like a place like Coutume (real coffee culture, with high quality, balanced drinks), but think it might be too far to walk first thing in the AM.

Coutume Café 47 Rue de Babylone Great real. Italian expresso. Brunch on sat and Sunday at 11:00. Good pastry (brought in from various local patisseries) Tuesday to Friday : 8am to 7pm Saturday to Sunday : 10am to 7pm
