Time / Time stamp query

Hello,

What is the current situation regarding the
1) time set on the CH server
2) the time stamp placed on posts - what is it relative to?

Are members defaulted to the time zone they set when they registered (I don't remember what the case is/was and I don't seem to see a "setting" for it in my account) or defaulted to the CH server time zone whatever that is? SF (US Pacific) time?

Was there something going on with the time stamp of the post?

Each user's timezone is set periodically when they log in. Since that poster in the thread you linked is traveling, he or she may be tagged with outdated timezone information; clearing cookies and/or starting a fresh login should clear it up.
