Higher end restaurants in TO that offer gift certificates?

Lazar Sep 6, 2012 07:14 AM

Can anyone recommend a place that offers gift certificates? I want to get something for a friend and his wife that enjoy dining out.

I was thinking Note Bene, but I am welcoming all suggestions.

As far as criteria, it cannot be a place that focuses on fish and/or seafood, and preferably not Asian.

I also need to do this quickly, so any and all recommendations are very much appreciated.

Thanks

I think most restaurants, high end or otherwise, have gc available. I know for certain that Lucien does. Just call the restaurant if you have a preference and ask.

Do you have a dollar value / range in mind? Your definition of higher-end may not be the same as others so having a dollar amount would help people to point you in the right direction. Are you looking for atmosphere? Or food?

I would imagine that almost all restaurants have gift certificates for purchase.

A couple of suggestions to start you off:

      - Oliver & Bonacini for Canoe or Auberge du Pommier
      - Rosewater Supper Club

Agreed. I would think that most restaurants have gift certificates and if they don't, they would make one up.

Scaramouche for sure has them. I know because I received one. And its very nice presentation too!

You just missed the Nota Bene promotion (ended Aug) where they were offering a $200 GC for $150.

Thanks to everyone. I decided to go with the O&B gc. It will give my friend a few options. I was able to get Auberge du Pommier to give me an official AdP envelope to subtley hint that is where they should use it.

          I totally forgot about Scaramouche...ah well...next time.
