Not sure if this will help at this late date but i will try. I don't believe Soft Shell crab is in season anymore, but this is a biggie in the area and one of the biggest exporters.
Another thing to try is the She-crab soup which is a nice creamy sherry soup with chunks of crab in it. I am local and haven't had it all around but most of the better seafood restaurants will have a good version of it - just check the menu before going, One Fish Two Fish (upscale), Margie and Rays (I prefer for lunch), Tautog's, Coastal Grill (upscale), Chick's Oyster Bar.
You can get blue crabs around here too but they are pretty small/frustrating to eat.
Rockfish and flounder are abundant here and I love the oysters. I believe they are just back in season. Any of the above places are good for these items as well. Good luck!›1 Reply
