Anybody spot any stores ion the GTA which still have bushels of Roma Tomatoes? We're planning on making sauce this weekend.
Fortinos in Brampton (Bovaird and Main) had quite a few bushels in-store today.
Bought some at Westin and Major Mac. They had one wagon load straight from the field. It was gone in 30 minutes. All other places I checked were out.
Bought some last Saturday at the St. Lawrence Market. Outside at the north market on the east side.
Highland Farms (Dufferin) still had lots yesterday.
The Farmers market her ein Burlington has plenty of them (I imagien the St Lawrence market would as well). longos and Fortinos carry them as well.
I saw some bushels at a fruit and flower store on the Danforth, sorry can't remember the exact intersection but it was on a corner, north side about 4 blocks west of woodbine. Sorry I can't be more specific....
That's the Prince of Wales fruit market. Twenty dollars a bushel. Bit more expensive that most but best quality.
