I hope you are doing great.

Anything that we should try up near Frankenmuth other than the chicken places? Or close by will work. May be in the area either lunch time or maybe early dinner on a Saturday night.

Any guidance is appreciated.

We ended up at Bavarian Inn and it was ok, not Wow but ok. And yes it is an enormous amount of food.

And there were a bunch of very cool cars going up and down the main street. They were also setting up tents for things all over town.

Autofest? I've never been to that but this weekend is the Old Car Festival at Greenfield Village. I've been doing my anti-rain dance all day!
At the Birch Run I-75 exit....Halo Burger. Awesome fries and an olive burger.

TraderJoe, at the danger of going off topic, Autofest is awesome (again, given nice weather). If you like old cars it's worth a visit. I think they generally get 3-4 thousand cars.

Seems like we will not be blessed with car-friendly weather this weekend, though :(

We had our first Halo Burger a few weeks ago on the way up North and it was pretty good, next time will try the olive burger!

Coney thanks for the tip! I'll add that show to my list. The old car fest at GV was great on Sunday. Fried chicken tenders and sweet potato tater tots with Alabama white BBQ and Carolina sauce were fantastic at Mrs. Fishers Southern Cooking in the village.
My favorite in Frankenmuth is the sausage stores or just grabbing a loaf of stoellen in the pastry shop at Zehnders.
This is the best time of year! Car shows, good eats and perfect weather.

We ended up in Frankenmuth unexpectedly a few weeks ago when visiting friends in the area. We had lunch at Zehnder's, a place that's been around forever. They're known for their chicken which was pretty good- kind of like fried chicken but with a coating that was really different. It was a tremendous amount of food and pretty good.
