Location in Downtown Vancouver for Stand Up Mix n Mingle

Want to do a 5pm mix n mingle with 12 people, drinks and snacks in Downtown Vancouver; but finding it very difficult to find somewhere that could accommodate. thoughts/suggestions most welcome.

12 is a tough number. You're not enough for a buyout (nor would the event command such a budget I imagine) and BC liquor laws technically prohibit standing with a drink unless specific licenses or permits are in place (eg. liquor primary establishments or a private room/special occasion license).Perhaps some of the smaller private dining rooms? Maybe Salt's cellar room?
