I go on vacation for a week and I come back to ...

A "Firehouse Subs" going in next to the GNC on Boylston St.

I looked up the website and wasn't too impressed. Limited menu of uninteresting sandwiches on Subway (tm) style rolls.

Anyone know about this chain?

  1. Much like the Pret a Manger space, Firehouse Subs been 'working' on that space for almost a year now. It was previously slated to open in June. But like you said, they have a sign up now, so that's progress at least.

And I agree it looks like a cross between Quiznos and Subway. No thanks.

    1. Been to Firehouse in other parts of the country. Nothing too special, small step above Subway, but I'd still prefer any mom&pop deli place by far

re: "mom&pop deli", if you're in Watertown... try Emilio's

they just do the simple things right.

      2. Thanks. Guess I never noticed them working on it.

They have a lot of much better and several similar sandwich competition within 2 blocks of this chosen locale.
