The Zen Garden restaurant in Mill Creek is closed. Known for Dim Sum, the owners were civilly-evicted by the Sheriff's Office due to non-payment of rent. It is unknown if the restaurant will return at the same or different location.

Yes, this has already come up on another thread (http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/841649). I think it is a major challenge to run a profitable operation in that space.

Huh. I just noticed yesterday when I was riding my bicycle past it and read the sign on the door. It is a huge space and overhead must be a killer.

        Agreed.

Keeping the space full, with all the dining options that have appeared in and around Mill Creek in the past decade, has got to be tough. Even in the 80's and 90's, when it was the Imperial Garden, I think a lot of their success came from ancillary business, like weddings and the bar traffic.

I still think it is an unusually beautiful space, and I hope that whatever comes next will succeed.
