Dallas Market Center/World Trade Centre - Where to eat?

We'll be going to Dallas for about a week for work, and will be around the Dallas Market Center/World Trade Centre and my hotel is the Crowne Plaza Market Center.

I have a feeling we'll be renting a car since I find Dallas isn't as pedestrian friendly as some other cities. But if anyone knows where we can go eat in walking distances from the hotel or where we'll be working, we're up for it!

If not, what are your "must go to places" for food in Dallas? Price is not a factor, I'm willing to eat anything as long as it's good.

Thanks everyone!

  1. You'll enjoy the Original Market Diner for breakfast and lunch. It's on Harry Hines Blvd. behind the Dallas Trade mart.

    1. Go to 35 and Oaklawn on the west side and try OAK (next exit S from Market Center) - they have a pretty great menue, and I haven't found anything I didn't like. Also some funky cocktails that I enjoy.

      1. Oak in the Design District is close to your hotel and tasty. Not far away is Parigi, a neighborhood restaurant that is always good. Farther away (but still within 10 minutes of your hotel):
        Southwestern: Stephan Pyles
        Mexican (upscale): Javier's
Bistro: Boulevardier (hipster spot located in a cool district known as Bishop Arts), Nosh (more refined)
        Best Brunch: The Grape
        Hip Scene: Marquee Grill
        Downhome Upscale: Sissy's, Central 214
        Japanese: Tei An
Family/Hole in the Wall Mexican: Mesa
Italian: Lucia (if you can get in); Nonna (easier to get in)
        Seafood: Driftwood
