Hi all, I am doing a scotch tasting as a fundraiser for our school and we will need food...since its a fundsraiser, I am not looking to spend a fortune, thinking more like grubby sliders and fries (does hole in the wall still cater?) Any recommendations would be appreciated...party will be in Brentwood in October...thanks in advance

My personal opinion is that deli trays with the best meats and cheeses you can afford with loaves or bread/rolls/crackers would work well with the scotch.

I don't know Brentwood all that well. Is there still a San Vicente Foods up there? Maybe Bay Cities in Santa Monica?

I just think some simple meats, cheeses, breads and condiments would work well with the scotch and might be just as affordable as sliders and fries (which for some reason I worry will grow cold as the evening wears on).

If you go that route, there is a nice Whole Foods in Brentwood.
