      Thanks for the terrific trip report and photos, and I love that you used a Facebook album for it. The photos really add a lot. We're heading to Portland at the end of the month and a lot of your stops just made our list (and made us even more excited!)

        Thanks for reading! I've preferred Facebook to post my food pics and thoughts but only recently made some albums public...the whole privacy thing. But it's a tradeoff I'm willing to take cuz I think people would enjoy reading about what makes me happy.

            Thanks for posting your photo link here, flowbee. I have cribbed from it for our October trip: Upright, Breakside, Kale, Bailey's for bats (went last trip but didn't know they had 'em, duh), Amnesia, Saraveza (stopped in but didn't eat or drink last trip), Beer Mongers and Luc Lac.

              Places that were also on the top of my list but just didn't have time to check out:

              Apex Bar - http://apexbar.com/ (like Bailey's, you can bring in your own food
              )Horse Brass Pub - http://www.horsebrass.com/
              Cheese Bar - http://www.cheese-bar.com/
              Belmont Station - http://www.belmont-station.com/
              Cascade Brewing Barrel House - http://www.cascadebrewingbarrelhouse.com/ (specialize in sour beers

              )

              The Commons Brewery - http://www.beetjebrewery.com/

              At least we left Portland wanting more!

                Thanks, flowbee, know of most of those and have been to Cascade (a bit disappointing for me as a sours hound). Will check out Cheese Bar and the Commons...

                My "to try" list for Portland is now 28 pages long, small type...
